Who we are and our beginning

The association was founded in 2024. The founding members are Dominik Žitný (president), Jaroslav Penk and Jan Pokštefl. 

We founded the association so that we could connect individual associations from other countries. Few years ago we started with banya courses around the European countries and started organizing competitions and festivals that would better show people how great a treasure banya culture is. 

Thanks to this, we also better connected lovers, enthusiasts and professionals from the world of banya.

We also try to connect countries with similar sauna cultures, but different names or methods. But internally, we all try to convey to people the same embrace of nature and love for it.

Finally, we try to make sure with the greatest humility that no one spoils the good name of BANYA. We try to spread awareness and knowledge about how this sauna culture should be carried out. We always want no one to abuse this gift of nature for their personal gain and harm the clients in the sauna.

It is our pleasure to be here for every individual, but also every country, who wants to discover the treasures of this centuries-old culture, which offers natural healing for body and soul.
